From the vaults. Short BBC film used at the start of the Curling tournament during the recent Winter Olympics. Working alongside another animator/compositor and a 3D designer over at Intro I animated various shots for this beautifully crafted film.
Using only stills, storyboards and the odd bit of eagle stock, it was my role to create moving images from these to be used to tell the story of curling and the drama involved. Most of the opening shots below were mine including the winter lake freeze. I also helped composite the 3D shots of the curling stones and created the cloud pull back at the end of the piece.
